Program Works
When we decided to start the Adirondack School of Dental Assisting, our instructors got together and asked themselves, “When I was training to be a dental assistant, what do I wish I had in school?” Based on those meetings and feedback from other dental assistants, we put together a program, and it has been adapted over the years to meet the demands of an ever-changing field. This commitment to progress and change is why our school has continued to be in demand and grown so quickly over the years.

In addition to giving students the basic skills they need to work as a dental assistant, we also help them obtain their basic certifications and find a job right out of school. Our school is located in a beautiful area right in the middle of Ballston Spa, far away from the crowds and stress of the city, meaning you won’t have to worry about traffic or parking while attending. We’re easy to find and easy to get to, so you can just focus on learning without any other distractions.
Job Placement & Career-Ready Assistance
Part of our program includes helping our students find positions in dental practices so they can start putting their newly acquired skills to use right away. We’ll make the transition from student to professional as smooth as possible so you can hit the ground running.
Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification Completed On-Site (Optional)
Rather than forcing you to find and complete a separate BLS program (like most other dental assisting schools), we can take care of everything in-house, which will save you the time and hassle.
Classes Are Only 1 Day A Week
If you’re a parent or are currently working another job, we understand that flexibility is important to you, which is why we offer classes on only one day a week. We want to make it as convenient as possible for you to learn, so we give you a schedule that works for you.
Hands-On Lab Opportunities with Qualified Instructors
You’ll get your hands on the equipment you’ll use as a dental assistant right away in our program, and you’ll be taught how to use it by instructors who have decades of experience. You won’t simply be asked to read a book and then do something in the real world. Here, all instruction is directly applicable to what you’ll be doing once you start working.
Real-Life Digital Radiography Training
Taking X-rays is an essential part of any dental assistant’s job, so we will make sure you are trained to do so as part of our program. There are many different devices out there, so we’ll be sure to cover them all so that you can begin your first day with confidence.
NY Dental Assistant License Preparation Assistance
In order to become a certified dental assistant (CDA), you’ll need to pass a test administered by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). We can help you prepare for this by offering practice tests and studying strategies so you can feel calm during the real one.
